BATTERY ADDITIONAL SUPPORT (BACK UP)
An additional support battery is installed in the event of the main vehicle battery not operating on full load; or when auxiliary electrical equipment is being used, such as communications. The battery is charged by a diode system and its capacity is constantly controlled. If the main battery is flat, or develops a defect, the second battery will take over this function.

BATTERY ARMOR PROTECTION
Both vehicle batteries, main and support, are protected with armored steel boxes, providing ballistic protection against projectiles and splinters. Both armored boxes can easily be removed for routine battery maintenance.

The Suspension
The entire suspension system such as shock absorbers and coil springs has been changed to engineered-to-purpose —manufactured specifically for Stoof International - to ensure reliability and road safety. The vehicle braking system has been adapted to adhere additional weight constraints that have been applied
to the vehicle main body components. OEM suspension components have been replaced with specially made reinforced coils / springs / front and rear stabilizers / specially calibrated Bilstein Shock Absorbers. The components have been branded and coloured red for easy identification, the shock absorbers have a different serial number registered with Bilstein. The vehicles have been trial tested with these exclusive components by the specialist suspension companies

SUSPENSION AND BRAKING SYSTEM (ENGINEERED-TO-PURPOSE)
The entire suspension e.g. shock absorbers and coil springs have been changed to upgraded components to ensure reliability and road safety.
The vehicle braking system has been adapted to adhere additional weight constraints that have been applied to the vehicle main body components.
Tyres and rims have been approved for the higher weight ratio according to TÜV / MOT type recommendations and legal requirements

ROOF PROTECTION
The roof of the vehicle is designed in such a way that it will defeat the following hand grenades and all lesser explosives.

TRANSPARENT AREAS
All transparent areas are protected against soft core projectiles fired with the following and all lesser
weapons in accordance with VPAM BRV 2009 , Level PM7.

• Caliber 5.45 x 39.5 mm FJ/PB/SCP, AKS 74, (Kalashnikov) OBR-74
